First I would simply like to say ONE HUNDRED FOOT VOLDEMORT, YOUR ARGUMENT IS INVALID

London knew it couldn't possibly top the amazing that is Beijing, so they went in the complete opposite direction and ended up being infinitely more entertaining for the exact opposite reason XD

And what, is gymnastics cursed this time around? The gold medalist for the men fell off the high bar, the gold medalist for the women didn't even make the all-around qualifications, everyone was all stepping out of bounds and falling off balance beams and pommel horses and my sister and I were getting kind of sad >>

And now we have school and movies and videogames and... Nazis. >> )

WOW I HAVE SO MUCH TO DO. School starts on the 13th, so I have until then to get freetime-related stuff done.

...What is my life.

Video! )

I tried testing out a way to record both my voice and the game's audio at the same time, and it didn't work so well. I mean, it did record my voice, and it did record the game audio, but it seems to have recorded a bunch of other things too. Also I breathe too loudly. I'm guessing this is a problem with the Stereo Mix option I used to record the audio, or that I have too many things being 'listened' to at once or something, because I've never had this problem before. I'll try again next time I have the TV and the laptop at the same time.

Under this cut: videogames, DVDs, RP, and links. )

...Did I mention this before? My friend has a device that turns anything hollow into speakers, so he drew a stereo on a flap from a cardboard box and walked around blasting music from it on his shoulder. XD And we tested it on things like milk cartons and tissue paper boxes and ahaha want you guys.

Today, I got some stuff my sister and I bought in the mail, including the original score for Arkham City and this FRIKKIN' ENORMOUS book with like a jillion pages of Batman stuff ICly written by Bruce Wayne himself, allegedly as a guide for whoever his successor would be.

Seriously, look at how big this thing is. )

But that's not the point.  The point is, I was inspired to finish Arkham City today.  And apparently this is the week of Traumatizing Video Game Endings.

Obviously major spoilers in that link and under this cut. )

...Anyway, since the best track in the game isn't on the soundtrack (...as usual? XD) I took the liberty of recording it for myself.  It plays during a terribly sad little Easter egg in Park Row, where Bruce's parents died.  The song is only about a minute and a half long and doesn't have a title, but I feel like it deserves a spot on my playlist.  Even with the stupid sound effects playing in the background >__>

...Boxing and videogames, what else. )

I have no life or RP news, so I shall end this entry wiiiith... another complaint about how I'm not creating any life or RP news for myself.  XD  I was planning to tag Raine's post, but I can't think of a way to make it interesting, and I want to tag Genesis but there is literally nothing for Dhaos to do there, and.  It looks like I just have to go around tagging random action posts XD

Ganondorf's entry makes me think, actually-- without his angelic strength, Dhaos may not actually be all that strong.  So I'll probably end up giving him a hideous run-in with a Shifter at some point and having him decide to take a leaf out of Ganondorf's book and train in the Battle Dome after he recovers.  I don't like to get rid of one of his few weaknesses, but it's something to do, LOLOLOL.

...Um, also, YAY CHOCOLATE WAFER STICKS.  Oh geez I haven't had these in such a while.

I had a ton of things to say earlier this week, did not say them and forgot.  Baw.  So it is random anecdote day!

Random Anecdote Day! )

So yes!  All I need is a Manny Pacquiao victory, and I'm all set!  ...Hopefully! >>;

Our good friends over at Artix Entertainment once made an announcement that I believe is very expressive of the way I feel right now.  Here, lemme copypasta that for you.

Cut because I realize that parodies of well-known Bible passages are not always looked kindly upon. )

I am, of course, not in the beta testing stage of creating a new online RPG, but this is pretty much how I feel.  In my infinite wisdom I have managed to miss the birthdays of literally every single friend I have this year-- including my offline friends-- and resolved, as I have before, not to post until I had EVERY SINGLE BIRTHDAY PRESENT I'd planned done.

...EXCEPT LOL A SINGLE PRESENT TAKING OVER SIX HOURS TO UPLOAD.

You know what, screw this, I'mma just whip up like a million oneshots for y'all.  ACTUAL ONESHOTS.  NOT THESE LAME BLURBS I'VE BEEN DOING.  Don't bother wishing me luck, just boot me in the pants whenever you see me online and say GET TO WORK, MISSY.

Yes, the guys at AE did actually post that.  Here, look for yourself.

...Um.  So, uh, thanks everyone! 8D In lieu of presents for you guys, I suppose I must list my own presents.  SO.  Have some photos:

The faucet in our bathtub has gone from 'slightly leaky' to 'never completely shuts off', which I predict is going to be the source of another fit from Mom when our bills show up XD;

Videogames, RP, and the usual inability to actually write. )

I'm sick.  All the usual symptoms: runny nose, inability to breathe properly due to runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes, slight headaches here and there.  At least I'm fulfilling my yearly illness quota before the Wisconsin winter kicks in, though, LOL.  Got infinitely worse last night, resulting in REALLY getting sick and then feeling much better afterwards, so hopefully that was the Obviously Ill portion of it and I'll be fine tomorrow. XD

My sister did her usual run to the library in order to find the movies she wants to watch, and she brought home one called Sunshine.  ...I think live action trauma is a little more difficult for me to swallow, now that I think about it XD It's not even that bad, I'm just wimpy.  LOLOLOL.  She also got Batman Begins again, probably due to her excitement for Arkham City (she's more excited for that than Revelations, which is understandable as it comes out first), and then I realized I have never seen that movie in full either.  WHAT THE.  HOW.

And now, the things you may or may not actually care about. )

I have the perfect GIF to describe how I feel right about now.

Don't worry, you have not just been spoiled for The Avengers.  LOLOLOL.

My little sister and I reserved Batman: Arkham City and Assassins' Creed Revelations last weekend. We put $25 down total for them, and my sister paid off another $20 for Batman this week. We got the $100 edition of Batman (mostly because it comes with a BATMAN STATUE LOL) and the $80 edition of Assassins' Creed, but only because preordering gave you $20 off. LOL. So we have two games to look forward to!

...Unfortunately, this'll probably use up all the money I specifically did not spend on the trip to the Philippines, unless I can convince our parents to pay the rest of the Batman price for my birthday. XD; Or if I simply don't eat lunch for the next couple of weeks.

Usual fandom things. )

...Dude, I just discovered something that no one will care about but is awesome.

Walter Wireless from Spy Fox is voiced by Tom Brokaw. LOLOLOL. I will never be able to listen to him without giggling again.

I can already tell this year is gonna be a lot of work XD; The other day, I accidentally fell asleep for an hour until about 9 PM, and didn't sleep again until that time the next day.  Internal clock, please work properly.  LOL.  Hopefully if it does next week won't be as long.  Classes, I am not ready for them.  And lunch is 45 cents more expensive.  Terrific.  SCOTT WALKER I SWEAR.

Dude, I just realized I haven't finished Arkham Asylum yet.  This must be rectified before Arkham City comes out!  CATWOMAN IS IN IT.  And I also have to get everything I missed in Brotherhood, man.  I can't wait for Revelations.  I'd seriously believed Brotherhood was the end of Ezio, but NOPE.  MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED.  My only beef is Ezio's new potential love interest.  I never liked the romance thing in Assassin's Creed, but obviously all of the characters have to have had children, otherwise Desmond would never have been born.  LOL.

...Everyone is so excited for new consoles and new JRPGs, and here I am geeking out about Arkham City and Assassin's Creed.  Ehe.

I had a dream where Grune died fighting Schwartz, and Dhaos decided to just screw everything and seal away his memories because FFFFFF I GIVE UP, and of course True!Grune came back and found him like that.  And it was a strange combination of sad and kind of adorable. XD; Because while Dhaos was the same serious, linefaced stoic guy as always, he was still all sad and lonely... and had obtained some Grune-like tendencies.  Like wandering off randomly while Grune wasn't looking. XD

I hope Dhaos gets drafted again.  Poor guy XD

Also, an awesome Thor/Avengers doodle by [livejournal.com profile] aceryth !

Loki and Steve. LOL. )

I'd forgotten that the IRL Artix is a black belt. LOLOLOL.

In other news, Student/Faculty basketball game yesterday. ...Yes, we still have those. XD It wasn't as rough as it was rumored to be last year (I didn't go, but someone told me it was more like football than basketball), but still fun.  I'd spent the entire day feeling a little down for various reasons, but after that it was all peachy and awesome. ^^

In more other news, my sister got The Batman vs. Dracula from the library yesterday.  LOL.  I love that movie, as well as the rest of the latest Batman show, and was very much surprised to hear that the fandom apparently doesn't like it very much.  Indeed, there were a lot of cheesy moments.

Case in point. )

But there were also a lot of awesome moments!

Tons of images, a lot of them scary. )

They changed the rules at the mall. You need an adult present even just to watch movies now.  I'm guessing it's because of that incident from the day before winter break ended where about fifty kids completely wrecked the Boston Store, but geez.  Now what are all the bored kids supposed to do on their weekends?

I got Arkham Asylum for the XBox 360.  And it is fly.  You guys, I love being Batman!  It's almost as fun as playing Assassin's Creed!  ...I haven't gotten very far, so hopefully they will be equals before I'm done.  the only thing is, my older brother watched playthroughs of it online, and now he insists on telling me everything.

"You know Killer Croc is in that thing?"
"That's not really Gordon."
"That guy you just scanned up there? That's Bane."

I love you, Kuya, but please do me a favor and stop spoiling everything...?

I got out of a Biology quiz because the Packers won yesterday, woot! I am most happy. The teacher was telling about when he was watching, which was also funny, and how one of the chemistry teachers called just after the game and the two of them had a conversation that involved lots of swearing and cheering and "DUDE WE WON" and "YEAH I KNOW" and the chemistry teacher was telling about how his wife was angry at him because he was swearing and teacher was all "GOOD why?" and chemistry teacher was all she doesn't understand andandand my teacher told him to make her understand LOLOLOL.

I don't watch sports at all, but for some reason I still refer to the Packers as "we" >_> Influence of people around me, it seems XD

Today when I got home Lola helped me make chicken and mashed whipped potatoes, LOL. Too much milk!

My sister and I were watching Riddler's Revenge The Batman yesterday, and it caused me to have a Harry Potter dream, LOL. Everyone in the castle was petrified, and we were going around giving Mandrake potion (which looked a lot like tomato juice o_0) to everyone, and Dumbledore was amiably telling riddles XD And we were all like "Professor... >_>"

On a side note, Riddler is really, really skinny.

And on another side note, my sister pointed out the following when we rewatched the first episode.

"D*********MN, Batman is ripped!"

XD
